Organic farming and certification
 
 
We take a 'whole-of-farm' approach and adapt our management system to ensure environmental sustainability. Our stocking densities are about half that used in conventional farming. This helps optimise water quality and ensure the health of our fish. Soulfish silver perch is fed certified organic feed. Our fish are not treated with hormones, antibiotics or pesticides and there is no use of genetically modified organisms. Approximately one-third of our farm is forested, providing over 14 hectares (30 acres) of habitat for native plants and animals.

Certification ensures compliance with national organic production standards and allows all products and their inputs to be traced back to their origin. Ongoing certification requires comprehensive record keeping and regular auditing.
